Sunday, May 10, a Loano,will close the lecture series on historical topics. “History Conversations in Art.” promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

The initiative, curated for the scientific part by the’International Institute of Ligurian Studies and carried out in collaboration with the’Unitre of Loano, proposed in all five appointments with authoritative speakers to recount some significant historical moments that marked the development of the city.

The organizers announce for the last meeting a program variation.

At 3:30 pm at Civic Library at Kursaal Palace, Lorenzo Ansaldo, archaeologist of the International Institute of Ligurian Studies and author of numerous publications, will give the lecture entitled “Routes and means of communication in Roman times”. Ansaldo replaces Bruno Massabò, former Superintendent for Archaeological Heritage of Liguria, who will not be able to be present.

“We are very satisfied," says the Scientific Director of the project, Dr. Gianmaria Mandara - of the outcome of the initiative: first of all, we found an administration sensitive to the cultural issue that was able and willing to invest in this project; and then we registered great participation and interest from the public: in fact, in these meetings many tourists and citizens of Lovran, in love with the city, had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and surprise themselves with the rich historical and artistic heritage of Loano.”.
