Thursday, June 29 is scheduled, in Loano, A new hike for outdoor walking enthusiasts. The weekly destination of the program “Loano not only sea”, curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano, will be the Bausetti Peak in Casotto Valley.
The meeting for participants is at 8:00 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot, possibly with your own car.
“The excursion," explains Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking companion of Loano - will start from the Colle della Nuvolera (m. 1450) in Val Casotto with a first stretch that is a bit steep but soon becomes a quiet walk, the so-called Via dei Cannoni, which with gentle climbs and plateaus, crossing woods and clearings, will take us to Cima Robert, a large summit meadow that was the site in the 19th century of a large Savoy military settlement, and for this reason also called ’The Encampment.“.
From Cima Robert to Cima Bausetti it will take just over half an hour of easy walking, along a scenic route that will offer spectacular views of the Ligurian Alps, from Pizzo d'Ormea to Mondolè.”
