{:en}PRESS RELEASE (06/27/2017)
They continue to Loano pre-sales for the first of the series of major events “Dreams Festival”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and edited by Event Size, under the artistic direction of Ivan Fabio Perna.
Saturday, July 1 will be Angelo Branduardi To kick off the music season in the summer arena. Prince's Garden at 21.30.
The versatile minstrel will introduce himself to the Lovran audience with an acoustic show “Concert in two”, together with friend, composer and multi-instrumentalist arranger Mauritius Fabricius.
A versatile artist, Branduardi has long accustomed audiences to an ever-changing live artistic proposition: from the classic “rock” formation, with bass and drums, to the performance of his historic repertoire. And lately the idea of “the less there is, the more there is”, a special taste for subtraction, with the “willingness to strip the tracks, taking away where we normally add.”.
Angelo Branduardi thus returns to acoustic music, capable of acquiring a different, almost esoteric breath, in search of the’deep emotion. With him on stage Mauritius Fabricius, composer, multi-instrumentalist arranger, author of great hits written for historical interpreters of Italian music, as well as Angelo's collaborator and friend since the 1970s.
In Concert in two the artists will duet, switching from one instrument to another giving life to a musical game that will move from guitars to violin, from flutes to piano and beyond to amaze the audience and envelop them in musical whirlwind.
The understanding that binds the two artists, that magical “accrocchio”(as Branduardi has always called it) allows them to play with your eyes closed, always knowing what the other is doing or about to do. In an exchange of emotion between the musician and those sitting in the theater, almost erasing the physical distance that divides them.
The set list will be rich and varied. “Wanted” songs and Branduardi's greatest hits will be re-proposed, reinterpreted by privileging feeling with the soul, precisely asking the audience to fill the space left vacant.
As Angelo says: “The beauty of playing together is in trying to suggest rather than impose.” As in a romantic question from the musicians to the audience, “Do you want to invite us to your house? Do you want to let us in? Thank you and have a good concert!”
