Saturday, February 14 open, at Loano, registrations to participate in the activities of YEPP Arts Workshop (http://www.yepploano.it)

From February through June, for young people between the ages of 12 and 25, courses will be held in music and photography, video clip workshop, stencil and screen printing. In addition,the workshop of web radio For those who wish to experience the radio roles of speaker, director and author.

“Over a hundred young people - explainedthe Councillor for Social Services,  Luca Lettieri - participated last year in activities organized by YEPP Loano. Workshop of the Arts, now in its seventh year,was born as a response to the need to offer young people opportunities for gathering, socializing and training in the arts and media. The initiatives that are promoted each year by YEPP Loano group are the result of planning that sees young people as protagonists in every decision-making phase.”

YEPP is an international project that aims to involve young people, making them active players in defining actions that can improve the reality in which they live. Launched in spring 2007 in Loano, thanks to the collaboration and contribution of the Compagnia di San Paolo of Turin, todayis also supported by the “A. De Mari” Foundation of Savona.

From 2007 to 2014 Have been involved in the activities promoted by YEPP Loano more than 700 young people, who live and study in the area from Borghetto S.S. in Finale Ligure and hinterland.

For 2015, YEPP Arts Workshop reserves a prominent place for musical activities, which are enriched with a new proposal: Urban Glass Over, a workshop that teaches how to make music using instruments made from recycled materials (Urban with use of bins) and with everyday objects (Glass with use of plastic and glass cups).

Confirmed the basic courses of bass guitar, drums, electric guitar, keyboards, and the ensemble music to learn how to play in a band. The boys followed by a staff of teachers will have the opportunity to perform at important musical events such as the Music Festival. Auditions for a chance to join the band will be held Monday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in the Kursaal Palace.

Also new proposals are the Stencil and Screen Printing Workshops, workshops aimed at learning the two art techniques: from the idea to the realization on T-shirts and other media using paint in cans. A final day is planned with the opportunity to experiment with techniques related to street art.

It is renewed, then, the proposal of the photography course which includes two theoretical-practical training courses: the basic course and the advanced course. The former will be devoted to technical fundamentals, and the latter will explore the theme of photography as a means of expression through a number of techniques and themes. At the end of the courses, an exhibition will be set up to display the participants' work.

In addition, the activity of Web Radio with children who will bring to life broadcasts that can be downloaded as podcasts from www.yepploano.it

Finally, a video workshop which will offer the opportunity to make the music video clip of the winning band of YEPP Factory - Up'n'coming. The young band competition will return in 2015 with a completely revamped formula.

The secretariat for information and registration will be open Saturday, February 14 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17 from 5 p.m. at 19, in the Kursaal Palace.
