“The evening's proceeds," explains Milena Barreca - will be used to continue a project started a few years ago aimed at empowering young people with Down's Syndrome. The initiative is aimed at young people over 16 and involves the formation of small groups who, supported by educators, work on social autonomy. Mostly “outings” are organized in the area to places usually frequented by teenage boys: pubs, discos, miniature golf, sports events and various events. Younger children, on the other hand, are engaged in the “sea and pool” project, which allows interaction with older boys, supported by educators who act as tutors. In addition, our biggest dream continues: the “during and after us” project, which aims to help our kids experience weekends of independent living with the intention of making them increasingly independent. Finally, we support the sports initiative, started in 2006, which led to the birth in the western Savona area of two new volleyball teams, the CS Volleyball Savona along with a bocce team and CS Volley Albenga. The latter, this year for the second year in a row is national champion. And not only that, a member of the team, Francis Principality, 24, was summoned to the national team for the 2015 World Summer Games in Los Angeles and brought home the bronze medal.” the ticket price is 5 euros.
