PRESS RELEASE (6/07/2016)
From the’8 at July 10, Loano will host the Pre-Meeting “You are good for me”, a preview of the “Meeting for friendship among peoples” which will take place in Rimini from August 19 to 25.
The initiative, organized by the’Cara Beltà Association in collaboration with the St. Francis Mary of Camporosso Solidarity Bank and the I.So Theatre, under the auspices of the’ Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, will offer moments of reflection on the theme of the Rimini meeting: “You are GOOD for me.”.
The organizers explain: ”The current historical moment is characterized by a profound crisis: models of coexistence are crumbling and the other, the different, everything that is “outside” appears as a threat. Man, on the other hand, needs the other to share desires, projects, efforts, sacrifices, fears, and pains: to discover the truth about himself and the world. But how is it possible to look at anyone else in a new way, not simply tolerating those who are different, but glimpsing and betting on the fact that “you are GOOD for me”? This is the question that the Rimini Meeting will seek to answer through exhibitions, shows, round tables, and testimonials from August 19 to 25.
During the three days of the Loano pre-Meeting, we want to preview these themes, telling stories of integration and forgiveness, celebrating, highlighting the beauty of relationships that we would like to have ourselves. We hope that everyone, like us, will want to discover the Rimini Meeting in its entirety.”
