PRESS RELEASE (2/07/2015)

The July 3, a Loano, will get into the thick of “Finally Friday.”, music review, organized by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, which in July and August will enliven the Loano nightlife, kicking off the weekends of fun.

Every Friday on the waterfront in Orto Maccagli, to the 9 p.m., music will take center stage. Over the course of the summer, cover bands, singer-songwriters and rock groups will play, providing pleasant entertainment for tourists and residents.

Opening the live music event will be, Friday, July 3, the group “This time my wife sends me to Funk.”, ironic cover band led by two historic Albenga artists, Marco Ghini voice and lyricist and Rossano Giallombardo guitarist and composer. The duo shared the project with five other prominent musicians from the province of Savona: Nico Lo Bello (trumpet), Raffaele Esposto (Sax), Federico Fugassa (Bass), Max Maloberti (keyboards) and Stefano Lo Sardo (drums).

The Albenga band has given birth to a new musical genre, which it christened with the name  “creaturely” rhythm.

The group offers a very entertaining performance with a mix of completely revised famous songs (Gaber's blue torpedo has become “blue car”) and songs entirely of their own composition (including “Il bagnino dei bagni Lino”) interspersed with gags in which the audience is involved. Running through the concert are the tragicomic tales of many common characters: the lifeguard, the ski instructor, the life coach, the politician, the disco man, the dated playboy, etc..

December 2010 saw the release of the band's first CD “Linen Baths” produced by Ghini-Giallombardo and recorded-mixed at ITILWHORLD Recording Studio in Imperia.

Proceeds from the sale of the album were donated to the Nonprofit Just Enough (www.onlusbastapoco.it), which is actively involved in Neoplastic Terminal Patient Care. In June 2013 the band released its second CD “Spritz & Spread Stay Tuned” and in July 2014 its third production “Intestine Struggle.”.

The review Finally Friday.” will continue until the end August.

The July 10, in Maccagli Garden will play the singer-songwriter  Massimo Schiavon, who will present his original tribute to Enzo Iannacci.
