They are six hundred children who will participate in the edition 2015/16 of the project “Sports Education”, promoted by the School and Sports Departments of the City of Loano.
L’Municipal Administration led by the Mayor Pignocca renewed its financial commitment to support the project, which will involve pupils from the St. Star Preschool and plexuses Valerga and Milanese schools of the’Comprehensive Institute Loano-Boissano.
It is from the 2004 that the’Sports Office and the School Office of the City of Loano promote the project with the intention of offering pupils the opportunity to experience different sports disciplines at no additional cost to families. Sports activity is understood, in fact, not only in terms of motor activity, but as an important opportunity for inclusion in the school environment of foreign children, for socialization and education in respect and health.
“The initiative “Education for Sport”-explains the Councillor for Education. Luca Lettieri - for several years has been enriching the Loano school's Educational Offer Plan with a rich proposal of sports activities. At Loano, sports have long played an important social and educational function, and it is for this reason that we have strengthened sports practice in the school by providing qualified instructors from Loano sports clubs.”
“Supporting this project," says Councillor for Sports. Remo Zaccaria - is a way to ensure that all children have the opportunity for healthy psycho-physical development, as stipulated in the European Sports Charter. And we must thank all the Loano sports clubs that have embraced this principle and given their full cooperation, even adapting to the needs of the school. The Loano sports clubs have been able to take up the challenge of playing an important role in the growth path of the youngest, providing human resources and expertise.”
The sports facilities of the school buildings involved will be used for the activities.
