Saturday, May 30, a Loano, the fourth edition of the review will kick off. Young Concert Artists curated by the’S.M. Immaculate Music Association under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
L’S.M. Immaculate Music Association selected some of the best young talents drawing from the national and international scene.
The review will offer three concerts, the first two in Doria Palace and the last one in fortress square.
Opening the review will be the young pianist Francis Mazzoli (hours 21) active nationally and internationally, who has always been particularly interested in the Bachian and Mozart repertoire and the rarities of classicism. Mazzoli began studying piano in 1995, which he later joined with organ and harpsichord. He specialized in conducting under the guidance of Maestro Enrico De Mori and distinguished himself for his interpretations in various musical competitions and in some recordings. He has made the first modern recordings on the Pleyel harpsichord with orchestra, Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg's opera omnia in the first complete edition, Paisiello's concerto in G minor with orchestra and in chamber version in a world premiere recording, some of the rarest Bach-Busoni pages and the Mozart-Busoni concerto in D minor with the label “La giovane classicità” which he entirely edited and directed. With his discography Francesco Mazzoli has succeeded in a short time in garnering praise from the public and press and specialized critics as well as Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana. He conducts concert activities as a conductor and with all the instruments of his musical panorama in addition to his teaching activities.
The June 6, always at 21.00,it will be the turn of the Ellipsos Saxophone Quartet, a formation of French saxophonists committed internationally to original arrangements from repertoires ranging from baroque to classical and romantic. Formed in Nantes in 2004 and composed of Paul-Fathi Lacombe (soprano saxophone), Julien Bréchet (alto saxophone), Sylvain Jarry (tenor saxophone) and Nicolas Herroüet (baritone saxophone), the Ellipsos Quartet studied and deepened its musical literature at the prestigious Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Now recognized as the ambassador of the French saxophone quartet to the world, the Ellipsos Quartet recently performed the composition “Asturias” by Isaac Albeniz on France 2 in front of more than 3 million viewers.
Young Concert Artists will move and close the June 12 (h 21.00) in Fortress Square with the concert of the City of Recco Youth Band. The ensemble in which about 30 very young Ligurian musicians (students of the music school of the “Gioacchino Rossini” Philharmonic of Recco) play will perform a varied musical program. The group will be conducted by the Maestro Alessandro Botteghi.
