Saturday, May 27, a Loano, sarà presentato il progetto “Loano Outdoor” promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
It will be the Meeting “Starting Season” ad offrire l’occasione di entrare nel vivo del nuovo progetto di sviluppo turistico che promuove la valorizzazione del territorio e le opportunità di sport all’aria aperta.
La giornata, che vedrà la presenza di giornalisti italiani e stranieri del settore che parteciperanno all’“educ-tour Loano”, offrirà attività, gratuite e aperte a tutti, di trail running, mountain bike, fotografia, trekking.
In the morning, area associations will accompany tourists, sportsmen, photographers and journalists to the discovery of loanese trails.
Nel pomeriggio si svolgerà il momento di approfondimento che avrà l’obiettivo di far conoscere i contenuti del progetto. L’incontro, aperto alla cittadinanza, vedrà la presenza di giornalisti stranieri provenienti dalla Svizzera, Austria, Svezia, Olanda, Danimarca e di testate giornalistiche italiane di settore.
“The project “Loano Outdoor”, - explains the Mayor of Loano. Luigi Pignocca - aims to systematize activities designed to increase tourist flows by expanding the area's offerings, particularly during the low season. We are focusing especially on trekking routes without forgetting cycling and mountain biking routes.
We are adopting new tourism development strategies to implement the main economy of the area, while respecting the environment, through a product that will be aimed at the sportsmen and to the outdoor tourists.
The outdoors is destined to become the new frontier of tourism development particularly in Liguria, a region that presents itself as an open-air gym. Indeed, the coast and hinterland offer a territory that is highly appreciated by trekking and mountain biking enthusiasts.”
“This new project will be fully operational within two years. - explains the Councillor for Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano Remo Zaccaria – Ci siamo collegati alla rete dell’offerta di outdoor ligure mediante l’individuazione e il collegamento di percorsi. Sono stati monitorati 100 chilometri di sentieri e in collaborazione con le associazioni del territorio sono stati definiti 14 fitwalking trails e 3 for Mountain Bike. The project involves the construction of a App (Paper@web App) and the related Web geoportal per la pubblicazione dei tracciati con la possibilità di visualizzare anche in modalità street view e il supporto guida. Il geoportale Loano Outdoor confluirà sul sito www.loanoperlosport.it
Sui tracciati sarà posizionata una cartellonistica con testi bilingue che consentirà di orientarsi e sul lungomare in Orto Maccagli sarà installato un cartellone con tutti gli itinerari e un QR Code che permetterà di scaricare i percorsi. Infine su uno dei percorsi cittadini saranno installate attrezzature ginniche che permetteranno di effettuare attività di riscaldamento e allenamento.”
Collaborano al progetto le associazioni: Maremontana, Balla con i Cingliali, sezione loanese del Club Alpino Italiano, Amici del Carmo, Outdoor Thunder ASD, Sindacato Italiano Balneari di Loano, Associazione Loanese Albergatori, ASCOM Loano.

The Meeting “Starting Season” event has the support of the Loano Committee of the CRI and the Intermunicipal Civil Defense Group Loano-Boissano-Toirano.

7:30 a.m. - Opening of Associations' booths, start Trial Running, Mountain Bike ride and photo outing with professional photographer Veronica Pons
10 a.m. - Presentation and start of the walking route

12 noon - Photo exhibition with the images made in the photo walk
