Over the weekend, in Loano, the calendar of events, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano proposes a gluttonous tasting on the waterfront and a excursion In the nearby hinterland.

Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30, on the waterfront, near the Sea Workers' Cottage, from the 2:30 pm and throughout the afternoon, you can enjoy the mouth-watering fried and cream-filled doughnuts. The initiative will be organized by the Pro Loco of Loano.

Sunday, April 30 you can participate in the hiking trip organized by the loanese section of the CAI. The route chosen for the Sunday outing will be the’Ring of the Gargassa Valley, in Beigua Park.

The hike will lead to the discovery of an unexpected landscape, a canyon of rocks formed at the bottom of two oceans in very ancient geological epochs.

A kilometer or so of gorges, loops, waterfalls, boulders and walls overhanging the stream (The Gargassa). The unique environment will offer an opportunity to admire particular botanical varieties related to the chemical composition of the soil. Halfway along the trail, a sulfur spring will be encountered.

Leading the way will be the CAI hiking guide from Loano. Franco Moreno.

The excursion will feature Loano geologist Luana Isella, which in the course of the walk will offer information on the formation and composition of the territory traversed.

Accident and mountain rescue insurance is required for non-CAI members to participate in activities, which must be obtained from the contact person (cell. 347.75.56.157) by noon the day before the activity is to be held.{:}
