The summer arena Prince's Garden will host in summer 2017 the new series of major events “Dreams Festival”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and edited by Event Size, under the artistic direction of Ivan Fabio Perna.

The program, announced with the awarding of the tender, was further embellished with appointments and popular characters.

Cabaret, music, theater will weave dance e shows for families. On the stage of the Prince's Garden will parade some of the best-known names on the Italian art scene: Massimo Ranieri, Edoardo Bennato, Angelo Branduardi, Marco Masini, Niccolò Fabi, Giovanni Allevi, Ermal Meta, Paola Turci, QueenMania and Katia Ricciarelli, Cristina D'avena and the Gem Boy, Vittorio Sgarbi, Antonio Ornano, Paolo Migone, Maurizio Lastrico.

The Prince's Garden billboard will also feature the dance with an evening of the engaging rhythms of southern Italy interpreted by the Turin-based company The Gecko Paranza.

To the most little ones and families will be dedicated to a review that will alternate theater performances with film screenings. Throughout nine unmissable evenings, all at free admission.

Kicking off the music season at Prince's Garden will be the concert of Angelo Branduardi (July 1). The versatile minstrel will present himself to the Lovran audience with an acoustic show “Concert in two”, together with friend, composer and multi-instrumentalist arranger Mauritius Fabricius. The setlist will be rich and varied: the two musicians will revisit sought-after songs, along with Branduardi's “classics” and big hits.

The musical review will continue with one of Italy's best-known composers and pianists, John Allevi (July 15), and with his “Celebration Piano Solo Tour“, a concert that will touch several Italian and European cities, including London, Zurich, Dublin and Brussels. In this live performance, the artist will resume his magical and intimate solo piano dimension, retracing the 25 years of compositions that led him to sell over one million records in Italy alone.

The July 19 will be the guest of “Dreams Festival” an artist who has been able in a short time to win over the audience with his delicacy and poetry: Ermal Meta. A songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer, he won the podium and the Mia Martini Critics“ Prize at the 2017 Sanremo Music Festival and took the top spot on Italy's best-selling charts and the Disco d'Oro certification. Meta will bring to the stage the double CD "Forbidden to Die”.

The spotlight will then turn on one of the timeless icons of Italian rock. Edoardo Bennato (July 21). The storyteller par excellence, who made three generations sing with his hits, will give the audience his musical fairy tales. A two-hour show will feature epic songs from the concept-albums “Puppet Without Strings,” “They're Only Songs,” “Have Doubts,” “Girls Make Big Dreams,” “The Fantastic Story of the Pied Piper,” to his latest work, “Ready to Sail.”.

August will see the staging of the extraordinary tribute “Freddie and the Queen” (August 3). The show straddling classical music and rock opera will trace the musical history of Mercury and Queen through the arrangements of the QueenMania, European Queen Tribute, with the extraordinary participation of an absolute legend of opera, Katia Ricciarelli.

The August 4 curtain will rise on one of the most appreciated artists on the Italian music scene, Paola Turci. The Roman singer-songwriter, after her big comeback on the Ariston stage in Sanremo, will be engaged this summer in the tour “The second heart” which will touch many Italian cities. Appreciated for her grit, talent and determination Paola Turci  will present songs from the new album along with his greatest hits.

Songwriting will give way to a repertoire that has sold out on so many dates throughout Italy. The singer most beloved by generations of children, Cristina D'Avena, will be the protagonist together with the band from Bologna Gem Boy Of an amazing evening (August 6), under the banner of the most famous cartoon theme songs of yesterday and today.

Marco Masini will be the guest of the Loano music season the August 16. The artist, who has been present on the Italian music scene for more than twenty-five years, will present his new album of unreleased songs on the summer tour, titled after the song he brought to the last Sanremo festival, “Spostato di un secondo.”.

The August 17 Nicolo Fabi will land at Loano with the project-narrative “Becoming Inventive 1997-2017” with which the artist celebrates his 20-year career, an important milestone that he will celebrate with a tour that, from June to September, will see him treading the best Italian stages, to tell his artistic and musical journey live.

It will be Massimo Ranieri to close the Loano music season the September 5.

La cabaret review will provide laughter and comedy thanks to the presence of three comedians from Zelig Among the most ingenious and innovative.

The July 14 will be Paul Migone has been pressing the audience with his boundless imagination and enlightening verbal gimmicks. Coming back from the very successful theater tour, Migone returns to his nature made of corrosive comedy based on surreal moments of real life, lived among his wife, friends, work, mortgages, fines, politics and Sunday rounds at Ikea. The Tuscan artist will bring to the Prince's Garden stage the show “Rexital”, the best cure for bad moods, chronic complaining, strong boredom, domestic quarrels, eternal mortgages...

Then it will be the turn of Maurizio Lastrico who will tread the stage of the “Dreams festival” on the Aug. 12. The Genoese artist will present the show “The one who talks funny”, an experimentation on language born from the observation of realities that are very distant from each other: from clubs, where mumblings and clichés are mixed, to parish oratories, to the permanent theaters where the great classics are staged.

Closing the season of smiles will be the August 18 the artist who symbolizes the comedy of the last generation in the man-woman relationship: Antonio Ornano. The comedian from La Spezia will present the show “Stand up tart”, a stand up comedian monologue, co-written with Carlo Turati, Matteo Monforte and Simone Repetto, directed by Davide Balbi.

La dance will feature the July 23 with The Gecko's Paranza performer of the concert-show of traditional Southern Italian music, songs and dances, from the pizzica pizzica of Salento and the Bassa Murgia to the tammurriate Vesuvius, from the sonu a ballo aspromontano to the numerous tarantellas of Calabria, from the tarantellas of Gargano, Montemarano, and Irpinia to the sounds of Pollino and Lucania.

Art and storytelling will be the ingredients of the play whose performer will be the Vittorio Sgarbi (July 24). The Ferrara professor and art critic, after the success of the theater show “Caravaggio,” proposes a new exploration, this time in the universe Michelangelo. The astounding art of Michelangelo Buonarroti will become palpable to the sensory multiplicities, traversed by Vittorio Sgarbi's narration, accompanied by the music of Valentino Corvino (composer and on-stage performer) and images brought to life by visual artist Tommaso Arosio.

In the Prince's Garden summer, ample space will be given to programming for the children and families. From late June to early September, child-friendly theater performances and film screenings will be offered.

The Abba and Stante's Little Comedy Theater will be present with two appointments: “The Magic Trunk” (July 20) e “The Story Catchers.” (August 20). Theatrical performances with actors, puppets, shadows and wooden silhouette will be offered by the Theatre Workshop who will be on stage with “Revolt of the Ghosts.”(July 30)  e “The Wolf, the Hen, the Giant and the Witch.” (August 2). And finally, the company Theater in Fee will present “Greta, the Doll and the Birch Tree.” (August 9).

Among the initiatives dedicated to the whole family should be mentioned the evening show with the awards ceremony of the competition “Budding Architects” (July 12). Finally, there will be three film screenings free, two in June and one in early September, featuring films from the premiere screenings of the recently completed film season (Oceania, Finding Dory, Sing).

La cinema season will be enriched by far more nine dates on the big screen. In collaboration with Zampanò Cultural Association record-breaking films of the last season will be offered, also suitable for an audience composed of families. The playbill will range from comedy to fantasy, adventure to animation. The single ticket for the outdoor movie nights for adults will be 5 euro.
