Sunday, April 9 is scheduled, in Loano, a mountaineering excursion organized by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano.
“The Sunday outing, whose destination is the Savonesi Canal and the Marguareis peak (2651mt)," explain the organizers - will take place in a snowy environment and will require mountaineering equipment and perhaps snowshoes. The Savonesi Channel is located on the north side of Marguareis between Pareto Peak and Bozano Peak and is easily accessible from Marguareis Gateway. The ascent route will touch Carnino Superiore, Passo Mastrelle, Colle del Pas, Porta Marguareis, Canale dei Savonesi, Vetta Marguareis. The descent from the summit will follow the depression on the SE slope that leads directly to the Chiusetta plain. It will then continue along an easy trail to Carnino. High-mountain clothing and equipment and good training are required for this trip, which will be done only if conditions are optimal.”.
For participation in activities by non-CAI members, accident and mountain rescue insurance is required and must be obtained from the contact person by noon the day before the activity is to be held.
