Thursday, March 9 “Loano not only sea”, the excursion program curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano, will offer a field trip to the Finalese hinterland at the Rock of the Birds.
The meeting for participants is at 8:30 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot.
Explain Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking guide of Loano: “The walk will start from Vezzi Portio, which we will reach by car. The hike, which will take place all on quiet paths, will develop for a first stretch on the slopes of the Rocca degli Uccelli, then the itinerary will continue forwarding into the Val Ponci and touching the historic Roman bridges to climb, finally, until reaching one of the most important prehistoric sites of the Finale area, the Arma delle Manie. From the Weapon, the loop trail will continue, returning toward the Ponci Valley and will close at the “Ai Funghi” trattoria.
The excursions are free. For participation in the trips of non-CAI members, accident and mountain rescue insurance is required, which must be requested by noon on the day before the activity is to be held by calling 019.67.23.66 or 349.78.54.220.
