Positive balance, at Loano, for the second parade of floats that closed the 26th edition of CarnevaLöa, organized by the’Old Loano Association with contributions from the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The good weather ensured a large audience that crowded the waterfront, welcoming the large paper mache works with applause.
Winning the Palio of the Commons was the wagon THE WITCH OF SNOW WHITE made by the group from Bardino Vecchio. Second place went to Dukes of Hazzard the Return (Borghetto S.S.) and third place was the float the l’Wave Varazzina (Varazze - Varazze Animation Group) who took the place of the announced “A Lanterna de Zena”. The originality award was handed over to the Finale Ligure group for the float Tommy the Giants' star.
Also awarded the winner of the photography contest 2017. The photo posted on the facebook page (@carnevaloa) that received the most likes was that of Sandro Comani Of the group I matetti burdelluzi.
Along with the floats that participated in the Palio of the Commons paraded, out of competition, The Burdelluzi Osteria (I mazzocchi - I matetti burdelluzi), winner of the 2017 Palio dei Borghi.
They enriched the carnival parade with the musical float “Everyone sings Sanremo” with performers Ray, Sante and Tony, Masha and the Bear With children from Loano's Istituto Rossello school, The Pied Piper (Justenice), The Clock Tower (Old Loano Association) with Pue Pepin King of Carnival, U Beciancin goliardic mask of CarnevaLöa, Captain Fracassa Ligurian mask of the commedia dell'arte and the Princess Doria of the Castle.
Also present were all the floats that participated in last week's Palio dei Borghi: Finding Dory (The Priglians), Tex Willer (Maina de Löa), Oceania (The Meceti), Avatar (Borgo di Dentro), The fire-eater (Rocca Square). The latter with the presence of Massimo Morini leader of the funniest Ligurian dialect band i Pesto Darkness.
Finally, the festive musical notes of the Rumpe and Streppa Band of Finale Ligure accompanied by the choreography of the majorettes.
