Saturday, August 6, a Loano, in the’Oratory of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary (Turchini), at 21.15 will take place the organ concert by Renzo Bortolot.

The evening, sponsored by the’Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Loano  and organized by the Brotherhood of the Turks' Chapels, fits into the program of the 18th International Organ Festival, organized by the’Rapallo Music Association.

 Renzo Bortolot will play the Nicomede Agati organ (1850), restored and preserved in the oratory, performing a wide repertoire of sacred music ranging from composers Dominic Zipoli (1688-1726), Benedict Marcellus (1686-1739), Gaetano Valerj (1760-1822), Giuseppe Gherardeschi (1759-1815), Niccolò Moretti (1763-1821).          

Bortolot He began studying the organ with Prof. G. Franzoni and subsequently graduated from the G. Rossini Conservatory of Music in Pesaro, in Organ and Organ Composition and in Choral Music and Choir Conducting, with maestros O. Baldassarri and M. Perrucci.

He deepened his musical training by participating in several courses in organ interpretation, taught by various masters, including: M. Radulescu, H. Vogel, L.F. Tagliavini, J. Langlais, T. Koopmann and A. Isoir.

Former organist at Fano Cathedral (PS), he collaborated for several years with the Malatestiano Polyphonic Choir in the same city.

He has taught Theory and Solfeggio at various music conservatories and is currently a full professor at the B. Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice, where he also teaches courses on the fundamentals of acoustics, semiography of early music, and semiography of contemporary music in the new three-year program.

As a concert performer, both as a soloist and accompanist, he has given numerous concerts in various locations in Italy and Germany.
