Thursday, April 21, a Loano, as is now tradition, the Don Leone Grossi Park will host the closing event of the Road Safety Education project Vigilantes and Urbanites, promoted in the Loano Primary School since’Municipal Police and School Department with the Municipal Police Command and in collaboration with the National Defensive Driving Consortium of Savona.
“The “Giocando s'impara” festival," says the Councilor Luca Lettieri - will also host two other important initiatives involving the Loano Primary School: Eco-schools and Pedibus. The three projects aim to promote civic awareness in the younger generation, love and care for the environment and healthy living, and respect for rules. The initiative will involve all pupils in public and private primary schools in our city, around 500 children.”
The event will open at 9 a.m. with the award ceremony – by the Mayor of Loano Luigi Pignocca, of the Councilor Luca lettieri and the Commander of the Municipal Police. Luigi Soro – Of the winners of the drawing contest for the design of signs for the upcoming ecological islands.
Then the party will really get underway. The pupils will have 17 “game” stations at their disposal, where the children will take turns trying their hand at various fun and educational activities.
The course involves passing numerous tests that will test the knowledge the children have learned about road traffic rules: a game of skill and balance on a bicycle, a game of traffic with go-karts, a board game with questions about road rules, a pedestrian route with road signs to follow, and answers to questions about unusual road signs.
Among the various games on offer, there will also be the creation of large two-dimensional human figures, aimed at reminding children of the importance of healthy eating for improving quality of life. Finally, there will be a three-dimensional game that shows the Pedibus routes and helps children learn about the local area.
Also present at the day will be the Pedibus volunteers who with great dedication dedicate themselves daily to walking pupils to school.
