Friday, August 14, a Loano in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, the dance review, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and organized by the I.So THeatre with the artistic direction of Luca Malvicini, will host the Ariston Proballet Company.
At 9:30 pm, the company will debut with the’San Remo Symphony Orchestra ne “The 4 Seasons”, ballet in two acts by choreographer Marcello Algeri, to music by Antonio Vivaldi.
The presentation notes describe the show as follows:
“The new work of Marcello Algeri is an “ironic play” that tells a story about feelings. Joy, tenderness and above all irony are the driving force behind the whole ballet. The magic of this performance is that of “being in time and out of it at the same time,” and behind the apparent iconographic picture represented by the succession of seasons we perceive a deeper, less visible meaning that touches our emotional layers.
The beginning of the play is, in fact, the first leap out of time where the feelings live and interact on their own and it is they who create the whole story through a game that never ends, the game of Hide and Seek (because it is the game of searching). The second picture is the SOUL which is the part where feelings live and it is divided into two movements, the first is the disorder of feelings the second is order. The Third framework is the MEETING between feelings and humanity which takes the Ballet through time and, therefore, through the seasons.
SPRING is the beginning of the seasons, it is the SUN, the BIRTH; SUMMER is the SUN, the FIRE. So on the one hand the sun which is the birth of life and on the other the destruction of life, this ambivalence creates the energy needed for maturation represented by AUTUMN where the fundamental principle of the dual value of our life cycle is contained: death produces life and life death, understanding death as the end of one cycle, one form of energy, and transformation into another. The last picture is WINTER which does not represent the end but the PRINCIPLE and the certainty that a new SPRING will return.”
