He trained at the Florence Conservatory where he met great musicians: Luigi Dallapiccola, Roberto Lupi, Quartetto Italiano, Piero Bellugi. Later, in Rome, he served together with Severino Gazzelloni as 1st Flute of the Rai Orchestra and later of Santa Cecilia. His activity then expanded with the Nuovo Contrappunto ensemble, of which he is conductor and animator. The projects born from it, have been popularized in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, and have been recorded on two CDs dedicated to Debussy, Ravel and de Falla in the dual capacity of conductor and soloist. A CD of his entirely devoted to Bachian music was recently released for Amadeus magazine, and the entire flute works for Camerata Tokyo.
