Saturday, February 7,a Loano, to the 4 p.m., at Civic Library (Kursaal Palace)the presentation of the book “Berto's Adventures 2.0” of Betti Bellani, organized by the’UNITRE of Loano under the auspices of the Municipality of Loano.
In dialogue with the author will be Betti Bolognesi Galati, who will introduce the volume and the slide show with illustrations from the book by Paul Castellucci.
“The proceeds from the sale of the book,’ states the author, "will be donated to the’ASRI, which provides stalls, adoptions and medical care for dogs and cats in need. In particular, it takes care of dogs with hearing and visual problems, monitors adoptions, and organizes free classes for adoptive families.
The public meeting will also be an opportunity to launch the collection of dog and cat food to be donated to five facilities in the area that house strays: the Finale Ligure kennel, the Enpa cattery in Albissola and the one in Legino, the association “Noi animali Savona onlus” and “il rifugio di Rosetta.” All this through a raffle. To buy a ticket, it will be enough to donate half a kilo of dog or cat food (dry or wet) in cans or tins. The drawing will take place on April 6, 2015.
Betti Bellani, Milanese by birth, moved to Loano in 1985 and together with her husband Paolo Castellucci owns the historic “Ottica Berto.” For years she has been working with ASRI and promoting fundraisers to help facilities that take in abandoned animals.
