{:en}PRESS RELEASE (8/09/2017)

Saturday, September 9, a Loano, to the 5 p.m., at Mosaic Hall in Doria Palace, the opening of the solo exhibition of Laura Vittonetto, “About everything a little bit’”, organized under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

Laura Vittonetto, an architect, began drawing out of passion with pastels and watercolors on cardboard. Then she moved on to acrylics and mixed media on canvas, and finally to plastic and composite works.

“My works," the artist explains, "simple and at the same time original, shaping images rich in strongly characterizing elements, take us back to childhood where everything is magical and the boundaries between reality and fantasy are nonexistent.

I research materials and objects that are always different, I assemble them according to shape and texture, I paint them leaving ample room for imagination and thus compositions take shape giving new life with different meaning to each individual element. A universe open to fairy tales and dreams of particular expressive and chromatic vividness, where the perspective is fascinating and unusual, resorting to the possible resources to achieve the result to which I aspire by finding an attraction of deep emotional involvement.

Small alternative, poetic and figurative worlds enclosed in stones, marbles, glass, shards, woods, barks, metals, shells, nuts, buttons, salvaged artifacts and more that inspire me. Landscapes and characters with a naive flavor, paintings, clocks, furniture objects...unmistakable and unrepeatable unique pieces.”

The exhibition, with free admission, can be visited until the September 24, from the Monday to Friday during opening hours of the municipal offices, the Saturday and Sunday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. {:}
