Opened in Loano the Federal Center for Advanced Specialization in Sailing, a permanent sports area where collegiate gatherings, seminars and courses for athletes and IVF technical staff, national and international regattas and events aimed at promoting sailing will be hosted.
La Italian Sailing Federation confirms the choice of Loano as the site for the national athletic training center, after a trial period implemented when preparing athletes in the Olympic classes for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Thanks to the new memorandum of understanding between the Municipality of Loano, the Italian Sailing Federation and the Marina of Loano space dedicated to sailing in the port of Loano is consolidated, with the support of the Nautical Circle Loano.
Hosting the federal center will be the multi-purpose hall on the dock level near the fishermen's square. Offices, multimedia teaching rooms, a gymnasium and areas for event presentations have been set up in the facility. The large yard located in front of the hall will be used for sheltering vehicles, carts and boats.
La Marina of Loano collaborates with the initiative by providing support for the port logistics aspects that are essential for the completion of the services needed by the Federal Center.
The new Federal Center will be used for training and preparation activities for the Youth Olympic National Teams and other initiatives related to the institutional activities of the IVF.
The favorable climate for sea activities allows athletes' training to be scheduled throughout the year.
The blue crews will carry out intensive activities at the Lovran federal center with the following program:

- Nov. 6-11, FIV Olympic Classes, 49er Class National Gathering
