Tuesday, July 25, a Loano, in the’Summer Arena Prince's Garden At 9:30 p.m., Clint Eastwood's film will be shown. “Sully” (USA, 2016) with Tom Hanks e Aaron Eckhart, dedicated to American pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberg.
On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger made an emergency landing with his plane in the icy waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 passengers on board. However, although Sully is praised by the public and the media, who consider his feat an unprecedented heroic feat, authorities launch investigations that threaten to destroy his reputation and career.

The story that Sully tells, however, is the lesser-known one about the days of investigation Sullenberger was subjected to, along with his first officer, to see if his choice was the best one or, instead, a risky risk that would have complicated the trauma-free resolution of the accident, which could have been avoided by landing at another area airport, or turning back at LaGuardia.
The film lingers in the private dimension of those days: in the hotel rooms in which the pilots lived, in their late-night chats or in the races through a deserted New York City when they could not sleep. A muffled world in which families came only by phone for a few moments, as well as glimmers of the enormous media exposure they were subjected to, and shyly participated in. (ComingSoon.co.uk)
