PRESS RELEASE (11/08/2015)

Continued at Loano, the review of summer children's theater, included in the project “Loano for the Family”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, and curated by the I.So THeatre with the artistic direction of Luca Malvicini.

Wednesday, August 12, at 9:30 pm, in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, will stage an original performance with the “Recycled musical circus” (August 12), a singular band that plays all kinds of instruments made from salvaged materials and everyday objects, from the most classical and contemporary, such as the Chiteja, Bassolardo, and Buzzeria, to the more traditional-ethnic, such as the Battifon or the Barattolao, to the creation, invention of new instruments such as the Casalingatore.

For the past several years, “RCM” have been exploring the world of new technological waste and its reuse through music. From the research and experimentation, a new genre of music was born: Home Appliances. An unexplored universe of incredible sounds produced using electronic waste and scrap materials such as old radios or various household appliances. This contemporary waste has generated a new family of instruments, then a new style of music made of original compositions and songs that mix unexpected timbres with the world and pop style of the Recycled Circus Musical. The Homemaker (an analog synthesizer made of housewares, household appliances and children's electronic games), the Radiomin (an am/fm radio complex that sounds like a Theremin), the Vignarolophon (a hair dryer that sounds like a flute) and dozens of other amazing musical instruments, all built by transforming discarded materials, make up the instrumentarium of the Recycled Circus Music.

The evening is at FREE ADMISSION.
