Sunday, January 3, a Loano, at 4:30 pm, will take place in the Civic Library a new event in the review Books under the tree, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and organized by the I.So. Theatre.

Leading the meeting will be the curator of the review Graziella Frasca Gallo from the Journal of Loano who will be in dialogue with the well-known illusionist and TV personality Antonio Casanova author of “Twenty-one” (2015, Sperling & Kupfer)

The volume presentation will be interspersed with musical pieces performed by the Master Roberto Sinito.

The novel thriller Of Casanova is set in Las Vegas. A croupier is gunned down in a cab. A mark imprinted on his wrist allows Nathaniel Poe, a former police captain, to link the case to the murder of his sister. Poe, blind from an accident, launches a personal investigation. To guide him, the faithful Elijah Fisher, an over-the-top hacker. The trail soon leads into the world of illusionism and brings up other murders, occurring thousands of miles apart. All signed in the same way. In an ongoing reversal between reality and illusion, as the investigators lose themselves in the coils of a labyrinth of clues as misleading as sleight of hand, Poe will choose to go deeper, against all evidence, until he arrives at a truth that testifies to all the pettiness of the human soul

Antonio Casanova Was born in 1972 in Ravenna, Italy. An illusionist and winner of two Merlin Awards (the Oscar of magic), he is the author of numerous shows that he has taken to the world's most important theaters. For years he has been a correspondent of Striscia la notizia, a program in which he has a regular column on Saturday nights, Travel Spells. Since 2014 he has been in Italian theaters with the show Aenigma. In the literary field, he is the author of a successful series of novels for children published by Piemme.
