Thursday, July 28, a Loano, the calendar of summer events promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, offers an evening of Occitan dancing, torchlight illumination of the sea, and a guided listening experience of the concert by City of Loano Polyphonic Choir, summer 2016.
At 9 p.m., in Fortress Square, l’Bala Association on the shore of u ma will host an evening of Occitan dancing. Enthusiasts will gather to dance the dances of the Piedmont valleys and southern France, accompanied by music from the Arbut group.
Always Thursday evening , the initiative will be held Torches in the night, organized by the S.I.B. of Loano (Italian Bathing Union).
The event at sea will kick off at 8:45 p.m., on the beach of the Medusa Baths, rescue simulations using various techniques.
At 21.30, the sea will light up. Lifeguards on rescue boats will light torches that will illuminate the sea. This symbolic gesture is intended to bid farewell to tourists and emphasize the importance of “safety at sea” for Loano's beach resorts. The evening will continue with Dj-Set and a tasty barbecue on the beach. As part of the initiative, a photography exhibition curated by Alexander Gimelli.
Finally, the City of Loano Polyphonic Choir, to the 9 p.m., in the Council Chamber of Palazzo Doria will present the initiative “Listening Guide” from the 2016 summer concert. The evening will feature historical and biographical insights into the composers chosen for the concert, which will be performed on July 30 in the’Oratory of the Turks.
