Sunday, December 27, a Loano, the calendar of events “Christmas Enchantments, promoted by the’Department of Tourism Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, proposes the initiative “Waiting for New Year...”, music, shopping and tastings, organized by the’ASCOM Loano, in collaboration with the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
“Waiting for New Year” will enliven the shopping streets starting in the morning. From 9.00, under the arcades of Europe Course will be renewed the appointment with the Antiques Market, organized by the’Cultural and Recreational Association Events Free. Exhibitors will present a select collection of furniture, silverware, paintings, rugs and objects with an antique flavor and full of charm.
As of the 10.00, Piazza Massena, will come alive Crafts in the Square, craft and artists' market. Artisans will be present with excellent, unique and inimitable products: painted ceramics, candles and wax objects, fabric puppets, objects carved in wood or leather, painted glass, decupage, art jewelry, etc...
In Fortress Square, from the 4 p.m., will feature the Virasolelh who will perform a wide repertoire of dance music from the Occitan tradition. The afternoon of dancing in the square will be curated by the’Bala Association on the shore of u ma.
Always from the 16.00, in the streets of downtown, the traveling concert of the Sbanday Street Band, marching band formed within the’S.M. Immaculata Band Musical Association of Loano, which will engage young and old in a musical whirlwind. The repertoire will range from 70s/80′ dance music covers, medleys of great artists, themes from soundtracks, all with an eye to funky and soulful.
In Christmas Village, set up in the San Josemaria Escrivà Gardens since’Multipurpose Cultural Center Association of Loano, to the 4:30 pm workshop will come to life Christmas Circus of Uncertain Circus. In a fairy-tale setting, Simone Peretti and his Christmas elf helpers will lead children to discover the magical world of the circus: they can try their hand at juggling (balls, plates, hoops, diablo, handkerchiefs, bolas, etc.) and balancing (ball, roller, tightrope) exercises.
In the marketplace Christmas magic visitors will find a wide selection of items related to the festive season. There will be no shortage of delicacies and drinks typical of the cold season. Santa Claus will be waiting for children in his little house to take a picture with them and an elf make-up artist Aida Will play with the little ones. The marketplace Christmas magic will open from 3:30 pm at 19.30
At 21.00, the party “Waiting for New Year's Eve” will intertwine the review Celestial Music. In the Church of St. Augustine and St. Rita concert will take place “Journeying into Christmas” with
Melissa Briozzo (voice), Tiziana Zunino (piano/organ) and with the participation of artists from abroad.
