Sixteen years after a bitter April Fool's Day, Daniela and Caesar decided to tell their story, to show that a stroke is not the end of the world and, in its own way, has also left unexpected gifts: extraordinary evidence of affection, the discovery of unsuspected strength, and an increasingly solid family.
Cesare Bocci, the Mimi Augello of the TV series “Il commissario Montalbano,” and partner Daniela Spada In 2000 they had a daughter, Mia. But a few days after giving birth, Daniela is seized by a postpartum stroke. It is April 1. She will awaken from a coma after 20 days to find herself in an even bigger nightmare: the long journey to recover from the aftermath of a stroke that affected her cerebellum.
«He won't walk again,» warns the doctor. «Of course he will!» replies his partner Cesare Bocci. And time has proved him right: fighting against pain and discouragement, against a sometimes less than humane health service, and against regret for all that the stroke took away - Mia's first months, her job, her motorcycle, her sax, her water-skiing, her dancing. Daniela got back on her feet, braver than any prediction: she resumed driving, invented a new profession, and recovered her special relationship with her daughter day by day.
Leading the meeting will be Graziella Frasca Gallo, accompanied by the musical notes performed by Maestro Roberto Sinito.
