The project is aimed at children and youth (ages 8 to 16) who have good aquatics skills. Registration is compulsory, which can be obtained from the IAT of Loano (phone 019 677827) while places last.

The initiative will be repeated during the summer of 2017: the July 25, l’1 and the Aug. 22. The meeting for all four days will be at 3 p.m. at Free Equipped Free Beach “Bagni Lampara”.

The organization will provide participants with diving equipment (masks, snorkels, fins and wetsuits).

“The idea of the four free nature snorkeling days," explains Councillor Manuela Zunino - was created to bring new generations closer to the sea and the issues of marine environmental protection. Being able to admire the seabed in front of our coastline is the best way to emphasize the value of the Blue Flag, which again this year the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) awarded to Loano's beaches and the Loano Marina. A symbol of water quality, environmental services and hospitality offered by our city, the Blue Flag is an award to the best beaches in Europe and certifies the quality of bathing water. The collaboration with the Center for Environmental Education of the Ponente Savonese will continue at the end of the summer with other activities organized in the area and in particular with guided nature walks. Not only the sea then, but also walks in our rich hinterland to bring everyone closer to the beautiful nature that surrounds us.”{:}
