{:en}PRESS RELEASE (11/4/2017)
Thursday, April 13 will be renewed the appointment with “Loano not only sea”, the excursion program curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano.
The destination of this week's field trip will be the Ligurian hinterland of the far west to visit some of the small villages that were once ruled by the Doria family: Dolceacqua, Perinaldo, Apricale.
The meeting for participants will be at 7:30 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot, possibly with your own car.
“This week's trip will be conducted by bus," explains Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking guide - but since the available places have been sold out for a few days, there is the possibility, for those who still want to participate, to arrange and organize some private cars that will reach independently Dolceacqua, starting location of the hike. After a visit to the historic center of this ancient and important town in the Ventimiglia hinterland, we will tackle the most challenging climb of the day, passing the castle and taking us to the ridge above Dolceacqua from where, by a paved road, we will reach the village of Perinaldo.
Still on trails and dirt roads we will continue, first downhill and then with easy ups and downs, until we reach the characteristic villages of Apricale, with its renowned historic center, and of Isolabona, where our walk will end.”.
The excursions are free and practicable by those with a fair amount of mountain walking training. For enrollment and information contact by 12 noon on the day before the activity is to be held on 019.67.23.66 or 349.78.54.220.{:}
