Thursday, February 2 will be renewed the appointment with “Loano not only sea”, the excursion program curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano.
The destination of this week's walk will be Cape Noli. The meeting for participants will be at 8:30 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot, possibly with your own car.
“The field trip will take place along the mountain ridge from the hinterland of Finale Ligure to Cape Noli. - He explains. Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking companion of Loano - By car we will reach the convent of Finalpia and then take the road in the direction of Le Manie - Voze. After about 1 km from Ferrin Restaurant the hike will begin.
We will first take a spectacular flat path that will offer us splendid views of the Noli-Savona coastline and will enter the dirt road heading to Malpasso. After a short stretch we will take another path, again facing the sea and immersed in the most typical Mediterranean scrub. We will thus reach first the Torre delle Streghe (Witches” Tower) and then Capo Noli, in whose area we will stop for lunch. The return will take place, in a loop route, along dirt tracks and quiet paths that are always scenic."
The excursion will feature Loano geologist Luana Isella, which in the course of the walk will offer information on the formation and composition of the territory traversed.
The excursions are free and practicable by those with a fair amount of mountain walking training. For non-members of CAI, personal accident insurance is mandatory and must be taken out before the trip.
