Thursday, July 14, a Loano, folk group returns to the spotlight. “U Gunbu de Löa Verzi” in the evening sponsored by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
At 9 p.m., in the cultural space Orto Maccagli, the musical and vocal ensemble will perform a wide repertoire dedicated to Italian folk songs.
The folk group will perform songs in the Ligurian dialect – “A Noscia Föa,” “Fuxe de Zena,” “Ma se ghe pensu,” “O Lidin o lidena,” ”O Trallallero,“ ”Quarto a-o ma,“ ”Trilli genovesi“, ”U campanin“, ”Voggiu Savei“,- together with some of the best-known traditional songs from other Italian regions – ”Amici miei,“ ”Eulalia torricelli,“ ”L'uva Fogarina,“ ”La Spagnola,“ ”O mia bela Madunina,“ ”Piemontesina,“ ”Reginella Campagnola,“ ”Vecchio scarpone.".
The Gunbu Music Group de Löa Verzi was founded in 2004 with the desire to publicize and preserve the popular music tradition and Italian dialect song. The passion for music is combined with the Desire to raise funds for solidarity projects.
Through the sale of their music CD, this year the group raised one thousand two hundred euros which were donated to the project “Villa Amico… for the Day After Tomorrow” e at the Giannina Gaslini Pediatric Institute in Genoa.
Along with the loanese section of the CAI, Furthermore, during his last concert, he raised funds to support the medical expenses of young mother “Carmela” from Toirano.
