Sunday, April 24 a Loano, the festival of 45th anniversary of the Foundation of the’AVIS Loano” and the twinning with the’AVIS of Ittiri (SS).
The festivities will kick off at 3:30 pm with a parade through the city streets of donors, accompanied by the musical notes of the G. Moretti Band of Pietra Ligure. In the “Giardini Donatori di Sangue” (Corso Europa), Dr. Vittorio Formentano, founder of the national AVIS, will be remembered with the laying of flowers on the monument dedicated to him.
At 4:30 pm at Council Chamber in Doria Palace, the official twinning ceremony with the’AVIS of Ittiri, in the presence of the Mayor of Loano. Luigi Pignocca, of the vice mayor Remo Zaccaria and the Councilor Luca Lettieri. This will be followed by the award ceremony for donors.
At 6 p.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Parish of St. John the Baptist.
