Friday, April 15, a Loano, to the 3 p.m., at Council Chamber in Doria Palace, the presentation of the “Multisystemic Pet Therapy Center” by Loano, organized by the’UNITRE of Loano under the auspices of the Municipality of Loano.
Registered in the Liguria Region Register for animal-assisted interventions, the center brings together a team of professionals who have developed and registered a Rehabilitation method and a specific model of therapy dog education: Multisystemic Therapy Assisted with Animals® and Empathetic Communicative Education of the Pet Therapy Dog®.
The team is composed of individuals with different professional backgrounds, such as: neuro-psychomotor therapist, speech therapist, psychologist, physical therapist, pediatrician, behavioral ethologist, geriatrician, dog trainer and educator, veterinary behavioralist, professional educator, O.S.S., and nurse.
The President of the Association is Maurizio Pagliarini, Behavioral Ethologist and Dog Trainer.
The association offers therapy, education, and multi-systemic activities assisted by animals for children, adults, and the elderly, family and school support activities for involvement in rehabilitation projects, activities for disabled children and their families, bullying prevention in schools, and occupational therapy activities for people with various types of disabilities or social difficulties.
In addition, the center conducts research on the education and training of dogs used in “Multisystemic Pet Therapy” and experimental research projects on various pathologies in children, adults, and the elderly.
Finally, training courses for Multisystemic Pet Therapy practitioners, courses for educators, dog trainers and breeders , education and behavioral rehabilitation courses for dogs are held at the center.
