Saturday, September 5, to the 9 p.m. the opening ceremony of the exhibition “From my life to yours”, dedicated to Fr. Luigi Giussani (1922/2005) on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his death.
The exhibition itinerary, curated by the “St. Francis Mary of Camporosso Solidarity Bank” in collaboration with Communion and Liberation e I.SO Social Cooperative, under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, will be accompanied by a program of side events.
The opening program will include at 9 p.m., in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena,the meeting with Miriam Nembrini, who knew Fr. Luigi Giussani closely and will bring his testimony.
The exhibition, which will remain on display until the September 13, will present in 14 panels the basic features of the history and work of the founder of the church movement Communion and Liberation, with pictures and significant excerpts from his life. The exhibition can be visited daily, from 18 at 21 and guided tours will be available upon request.
Also as part of the exhibition's side events, Thursday, September 10, to the 9 p.m., in Fortress Square,the video “DON LUIGI GIUSSANI 1922-2005” on the life of the Desio priest, published by Corriere della Sera. The documentary, through interviews, speeches and rare archival images, offers Don Giussani's thought.
Finally, Sunday, September 13, to the 9 p.m., in the’Oratory Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, the piano concert will be held on the Maestro Federico Pulina, who will perform excerpts from the “Spirito Gentil” series commissioned by Don Giussani. Founded in 1997, for thirteen years it offered a selection of pieces and a body of writings by Giussani himself, as well as critics, musicologists and composers.
Federico Pulina, a pupil of Anna Revel, professor of piano at the Sassari Conservatory of Music, has distinguished himself in a number of prestigious prizes and in 2011 he performed as soloist at the Storchi Theater in Modena together with the youth orchestra “Marija Judina” in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 K 488.
