Wednesday, August 19, a Loano, a new appointment of the season of kids theater in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena. At 9:30 pm, Daniele Debernardi will present the show “Hansel and Gretel”.
The evening included in the project “Loano for the Family”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, is organized by the I.So THeatre with the artistic direction of Luca Malvicini.
“From the most edible fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, where famine is mixed with gluttony and the common element is the absence/presence of food, this show with an “ancient” and “poor” flavor was born. - It explains Daniele Debernardi - The habitat of Hansel and Gretel, the two little brothers who are the protagonists of this story, and all the other characters in the tale: it is misery. They all chase “three pennies” that make those who possess them despair and represent the illusion of material wealth.
Then imagination takes over and you catch a glimpse of large chocolate and marzipan houses in the woods, like a mirage, you run the risk of being eaten by hungry and malicious old women, you try to dream and you start singing...to forget.”
It is in this context that the Teatrino dell’ Erba Matta produced a comic show, full of life and music, lots of music, all sung live.
Almost in a magical game of metamorphosis all the characters, latex and foam rubber puppets or masks of the same material worn with quickness and transformism, emerge from objects stacked on top of a cart placed in the center of the stage.
The evening is at free admission.
