Songs that have marked the history of Italian music and served as a soundtrack for several generations. But there will also be the latest works, “Come va la vita” and “Nulla di nuovo.”.

Some history. I NOMADI, the longest-running band on the Italian music scene, were founded in 1963, by Beppe Carletti and Augusto Daolio, at a time when hundreds of musical groups were being born, at a very frequent pace, united by the desire to express the feelings, thoughts and dissatisfactions of the young people of the new generation, the first of the postwar period.

In 1965 their first 45 rpm was released entitled “Donna la prima donna,” and a year later their collaboration with a then unknown Francesco Guccini began. From this partnership, songs were born that would mark a milestone in the Italian music scene: “Noi non ci saremo” and “Dio è morto,” would become banners for millions of young people.

And in ‘72 “Io Vagabondo” still a song - symbol of the band and anthem for several generations.

From this moment the climb begins: television appearances, presence at singing events and numerous record works that will lead the band to official recognition by critics and the public.

Nomads“ work does not stop over the years despite several replacements within the group, but on the contrary they manage to renew, modernize and draw musical sap from each new member. Fifty-two years have passed but they are still there: 90 concerts a year throughout the Peninsula with an annual average of 1,000,000 spectators that include children, parents and grandparents, thus creating what can be called the ” nomadic people.".

In addition, the band also assumed the nomination of the longest-lived group in Italy, and before them only the Rolling Stones.

Since 1993, a major event has taken place, the “ Nomadincontro - Tribute to Augusto,” which arrived in 2015 at the XXIII Edition, featuring the same group, with the intention of remembering the one who was its creator and inspiration: Augusto Daolio.

This event consists of two days where the band's songs resonate in the background; but the real heart of Nomadincontro is the awarding of the “ Tribute to Augustus” prize, given to Italian musicians who have distinguished themselves for artistic and especially humanitarian value.

Nomads Today. To date, the Emilia-based group has 52 works, including studio records, live performances and collections, totaling 15,000,000 copies sold.

But there are also other important numbers: 100 fan clubs from Trentino to Calabria that show all their support every day. Alongside this there is also the humanitarian commitment that has seen the Nomads as promoters of various solidarity initiatives and numerous charitable trips ( To name a few stops: Santiago de Chile, Jerusalem, Chiapas, Peru, Albania, Vietnam, Sumatra, Brazil, Cambodia) that have led to meetings with great personalities: Dalai Lama, John Paul II, Yasser Arafat, Michel Sabbah Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fidel Castro, Tara Ghandi.

Important today is the Crescerai Association, established to help and support the people of Madagascar. To this should be added the sustained commitment in Emilia: in 2012 Beppe Carletti organized the Concert for Emilia in favor of the areas affected by the earthquake. The event was attended by 1,189,896 people and contributed to the restoration of a wing of the hospitals in Carpi ( MO) and Mirandola ( MO). Also in the same year, Nomads also participated in the ItaliaLovesEmilia concert to reiterate their closeness to the people of Emilia affected by the calamity.

Nomads and music. 2012 is a rich year for the group: the arrival of Cristiano Turato and the release of “Third Time,” an album consisting entirely of unreleased works after three years.

In 2013 Nomads celebrate 50 years of Music in Cesenatico, with a three-day event of music, meetings and solidarity, in the very Riviera Romagnola that gave the input to their debut in 1963. 2014 is the year of “50+1,” the CD containing 32 entirely revised historical songs and 2 unreleased ones. THE BAND.

Beppe Carletti

Born in 1946 in Novi di Modena, Nomad for 52 years, practically forever.

Co - founder of the group in 1963 with Augusto Daolio and a love for music that has accompanied him since the age of 9, when he began playing the accordion. As a Nomad in soul he loves to travel, but they are journeys characterized by one word: solidarity. It was precisely this constant and deep humanitarian commitment that led Carletti to receive the Gold Medal of Knight of Childhood and additionally the appointment of Knight of the Republic.

Daniele Campani

Class of 1961 and Nomad since 1990, the year he met Daolio and Carletti. Before this meeting he was working as a copywriter, literally a writer of advertising texts, but reserving his passion for a deafening and ungentlemanly instrument: the drums. Since that 1990 he has been Nomadi's drummer and creator of their record covers.

Chico Falzone

Born in 1956, she is a musician at heart and soul.

His encounter with Nomads dates back to the late 1980s, when he immediately cultivated a desire to be a part of them. At that time he was performing in various venues in the area with famous and not-so-famous artists; after all, the important thing was to play. His debut came on July 1, 1990, in Novellara: since then he has been Nomadi's guitarist and vocalist.

Cristiano Turato

He is the youngest Nomad, class of 1973. His love for music manifested from an early age, when his father gave him a guitar at age 10. From here will begin a true love affair between Cristiano and music. At the age of 16, he began studying modern and jazz singing and simultaneously began producing his own music. Being a music lover he also starts studying piano, mixing different genres from pop to rock to electro rock. Thus come the first satisfactions and recognitions, one of all the victory at the Festival of Sant Vincent. Since 2012 he has been the new voice of Nomads.

Massimo Vecchi

Born in 1970. He has always been a musician, so much so that his mother decided to enroll him in the Achille Peri Conservatory of Reggio Emilia; but rules and discipline were not for him, so much so that he decided to drop out. In 1998, after 15 years of experience with anyone who had been assailed by passion, he received the fateful call from Cico Falzone and an invitation to join the group and has been Nomad by profession ever since.

Sergio Reggioli

1970, Recanati. For him, too, his love with music began at a very young age: at the age of 8 he was already attending the Pesaro Conservatory of Music as an auditor, then entering it as a student a few years later. He obtained his diploma in 1993 and began to approach classical music, then moved on to rock and pop, all with his violin always at hand. His debut with Nomads took place in 1998, since then he has been percussionist, violinist, guitarist, and vocalist in the band.
