Saturday, May 23, a Loano, will take place on the “Loatrikids” trophy” and the meeting “Loaquathlon”, organized by the Doria swimming Loano with contributions from the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

Closed the curtain on the twentieth edition of the Swimming Meet City of Loano, organized last weekend, which saw 16 clubs from Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy involved in the two days of competitions for a total of 465 athletes in the pool, the beautiful stage of the Palazzetto dello Sport in Loano - an open 50-meter pool - once again became the scene of two sporting events.

The appointment is starting at 9.30 with the first “Loatrikids” Trophy”, a triathlon event for children. The Trophy will not only be an opportunity to introduce children to this sport - which combines swimming, running and cycling - but will also be valid for the awarding of the “Regional Team Championship - CONI Cup Liguria.” The winning team of this phase, in addition to the title of regional team champion, will then be entitled to participate in the national team phase.

In the afternoon, starting from 3 p.m., it will be the turn of the second edition of “Loaquathlon”, meeting in which participants will compete in the triple stage of swimming, running and more swimming. The competition will award the regional youth and overall championship titles. At the starting blocks will be the winners of the first edition, Ivan Hats, home idol of Doria swimming Loano, and the Sanremese Vittoria Bergamini. Given the success of the previous edition, “Loaquathlon” 2015 doubled the number of registered athletes, with companies from Piedmont, Liguria, Trentino With a large Ligurian representation.
