Sunday, December 28, a Loano, will take place the traditional winter swimming competition, organized by the Tourism Departments and to the State Property of the Municipality of Loano in collaboration with the Italian Bathing Union of Loano, the Italian Swimming Federation Lifeguarding, the Coast Guard of Loano, l’Associated Anesthesia and Solidarity Association Onlus.
Professional swimmers will be arriving from all over Liguria and northern Italy, who will gather on Loano Beach to test themselves and renew the end-of-year, wintertime ritual of diving into the sea.
La XXVIII Winter Swimming Endeavor will take place in the stretch of water in front of the Neptune Baths.
Registration will be kicked off at 10 a.m. The plunge is announced at 11:00 am.
The seaside party will be enlivened by Luca Valentini of Radio Onda Ligure, who will set the pace for the competitors engaged in the warm-up activity with a rich lineup of music.
All participants will be given a gadget and a special award will be presented to the younger and to the younger, to the less young and to the less young, a Who wears the most original costume and to the largest group.
After the plunge, tryers can warm up with hot tea and regain energy with a tasty snack provided by the organization.
