Wednesday, December 24, a Loano, initiatives continue “Christmas Enchantments” promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

From 4 p.m. in the downtown streets, pre-Christmas shopping will be accompanied by the musical notes of the Sbanday Street Band, marching band formed within the’S.M. Immaculata Band Musical Association of Loano, which will involve young and old alike in a traveling musical vortex. The repertoire will range from many traditional Christmas songs from around the world.

Alongside the classic shopping in the downtown streets, those who need to buy the last gifts can visit themercatino “Christmas Magic, organized by the’Multipurpose Cultural Center Association of Loano, in the San Josemaria Escrivá Gardens. From 3:30 pm, In the many small chalets set upin the heart of the city, Christmas decorations, cribs and many gift ideas will be displayed and sold.

In the marketplace in front of the Prince's Garden, shrouded in extraordinary fairy-tale scenery you can enjoy Christmas pancakes, frosted apples and fight the cold with warm mulled wine. Children will be able to mail their little letters in the Santa's cottage and playwith the’elf make-up artist.

The market, which will open from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m, will continue until the January 6, every day except December 25.

In the city one can, then, admire the numerous nativity scenes that bring to life the sacred representation of the Nativity. Parishes, chapels and oratories host three-dimensional paintings of the birth of Jesus in original and evocative settings, created by skilled and passionate artist-craftsmen.
