Sunday, December 22, a Loano, to the 4 p.m., at Loanese Cinema Theater, the Christmas concert will be held of the folk group “U Gunbu de Löa- Verzi.”, organized under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The folk group will present Christmas songs, Ligurian dialect songs, along with some of the best-known traditional Italian folk songs.
The Gunbu Music Group de Löa Verzi was founded in 2004. Formed by enthusiasts, the fellowship was born out of a desire to publicize and preserve the popular music tradition and Italian dialect song.
The musical evening aims to raise funds to support the work of the Gaslini Institute of Genoa and the restoration of a 17th-century painting kept in the Verzi Church.
