The Renaissance festival celebrating “The Return of the Dorias,” the “Night in White,” the PreMeeting, the Basüe, the Carnevalöa, the CUBO review. But also many literary events, exhibitions, concerts, cabaret evenings, beauty contests, gourmet appointments, sports events. Culminating with the highly anticipated Mahmood concert in Piazza Italia at the end of August. It will be truly unparalleled “Summer at Loano,” the extensive calendar of events that will enliven Loano's Summer 2022. Here the full calendar.

“After two rather complicated seasons,‘ explain Lettieri and Rocca, ’never before has there been such a desire as there is this year to resume normal ‘habits’ and begin again to fully enjoy the opportunities for relaxation and fun that, especially at Loano, characterize the summer. And precisely to try to meet this need, the administration, municipal offices and local businesses have prepared a truly rich and varied calendar of events. Without fear of contradiction, we feel to say that few other places in Liguria can boast a proposal of this kind. Alongside classic events in our town such as the ”Notte in Bianco', the Witches' Festival, the carnival, the National Prize City of Loano, the PreMeeting, we wanted to promote some interesting novelties. Such as the expanded and enriched version of the renaissance festival celebrating the proclamation of Loano as a free county, the vintage fair on the waterfront or the cinema on the beach. The highlight of this summer will undoubtedly be Mahmood's concert in Piazza Italia. An event that, within hours of its announcement, has already created great anticipation. Never before has the contribution of the city's associations and activities been as crucial as this year, which not only confirmed the commitment of previous years, but also promoted new and interesting projects that are very useful for further diversifying the offer. To them goes our most sincere thanks. If this will really be, as we hope and hope, the summer of the real restart, it will also and above all be thanks to them.".

It begins on Saturday, June 18, with “The return of the Dorias”, the grand renaissance festival that will commemorate the proclamation of the free county of Loano that took place in 1575 during the rule of Counts Zenobia Del Carretto and Gianandrea Doria. The event was promoted by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and organized by the Loanese Committee and Vecchia Loano. In addition to being a historical re-enactment that aims to reconstruct coherently and on the basis of original documents what happened on July 2, 1575, the date of the settlement of the Doria princes and the oath of the Loanese community, the event will be an opportunity to enliven the historic center and the waterfront with moments of historical-themed entertainment that will involve tourists and residents in a real journey through the centuries.
