{:en}PRESS RELEASE (7/07/2017)
It will continue to Loano until July 15 the solo exhibition of the sculptor Donato Donno set up in the Mosaic room by Doria Palace.
The exhibition features some of the most significant works by the Apulian artist, who has lived in Turin since his youth.
“Since childhood," says Donato Donno - I nurture a strong artistic sensibility, and an innate ability in manual and pictorial works. I attained my artistic maturity in 1979 by attending the Cottini Art School in Turin.
I drew method and technique from the important masters Giuseppe Penone, Ezio Bersezio, Antonio Carena, and Sergio Saccomandi.
Since 1990 I have been working as a Freelance Architect and have resumed sculpting in my spare time, researching forms and expression in poor materials and especially in the simplest and “most primal“ one: the’clay.
My works move from thematic figures to abstract themes. Being an artist for me means connecting head, hands, and heart in making a work in order to convey emotions that are felt by the viewer.”
The exhibition, at free admission, you can visit from Monday to Friday During the opening hours of the municipality, the Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m..{:}
