Sunday, June 25, a Loano, to the 9:30 pm, in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, will kick off the summer tour of the Pesto Darkness: Anghezo Tour 2017.
The free admission evening, organized with the contribution of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, will offer a preview of the Ligurian dialect rock band's new show, which will present itself to the public with a new formula.
The Tour presentation reads: “In the 10-year anniversary year of their first TV show, Invaxön (Aliens in Space), and after singing in the pre-game show of the Match of the Heart of Italian National Singing Team at Juventus Stadium in Turin, Buio Pesto return to perform in the squares of their native Liguria.
Dominating the summer will be the catchphrase game of their teenage years, the Rubik's Cube, immediately renamed by parents and grandparents the’anghezo”. The term, which in Liguria designates a contraption of limited utility or a tool not otherwise definable, will be the fil rouge of 23rd Tour consecutive of Buio Pesto, which will begin as per tradition in Loano and will continue throughout the summer, touching the main squares in Liguria and ending with a major benefit concert at Camogli's freshly restored Teatro Sociale in late September.
Radical change for the tour formula, which no longer includes so many concerts scattered in the cities of the four provinces of Liguria, but about ten dates in large centers.
On the setlist will be historical and recent hits of the group and of course the unfailing new covers, including those of Francesco Gabbani e Carmen Consoli, as well as other dutiful references to catchphrases in vogue: from the popular move of the Dab to its speaker Fabio Rovazzi, to the Striscia la Notizia footage of the Ligurian cyclist. The main song will obviously be “Anghezo at 6 walls.”, featured on the latest album “Ligurians” (published in 2016) and dedicated to the Rubik's Cube, the best-selling toy in the history of mankind, complete with a sound effect (in time to music) just of when you handle it in an attempt to solve it. A special Rubik's Cube with images of the members of Buio Pesto on its six faces will be the gadget of the summer, which will be given away on concert nights to those who sign up for the always active Fans Club.
The songs will be interspersed with other funny movies and the improvised gags characteristics of Buio Pesto. Further enlivening the atmosphere is the competition Express a Desideuro will award the winners of an “instant raffle” at a cost of one euro with a chance to immediately see one's wish granted by the band members and win a voucher for a vacation offered by the travel agency Eligiò Travels of Cairo Montenotte (SV).
Among all tickets sold, three numbers will be drawn at the end of the tour: lucky holders of matching tickets will win additional prizes.
The company of ”Orion” ambulance outfitting” of Calenzano (FI), will donate to a local public assistance organization, at each concert, a voucher for outfitting a rescue vehicle.
As always, part of the proceeds and donations will be donated to the “Green Ambulance”, which involves fundraising through CD sales, film making and musical performances in order to purchase emergency vehicles or medical equipment to be donated to the Liguria Public Assistance Societies. With this tour, donations made rise to 10.”
