Yesterday at the Prefecture meeting with the Public Order and Security Committee, an attendance limit was set for Italy Square. Access to the square will be allowed until the capacity of four thousand people which will be counted at the gates as per the Gabrielli circular. Stewards will hand out entrance coupons until the allowed number is reached. Access to the square will be from Doria Street and Isnardi Street.

During the meeting the Prefect and the Quaestor have ensured the provision of State Police and Carabinieri officers in the appropriate number for the event and in different specialties, aimed at ensuring not only the smooth running of the event but also the necessary preventive controls at the event sites. Also already planned is the on-duty presence of all officers of the Municipal Police.

Already in recent days, the Mayor Luigi Pignocca had issued the ordinance taking into account the latest directions dictated by the Prefecture regarding Safety and Security.

Among the dictates of the ordinance is the prohibition of the take-away sale-both fixed and itinerant-of beverages contained in glass bottles or other material other than plastic or tetra pak, even dispensed from vending machines, as well as the consumption and possession in public places of beverages enclosed in glass containers.

The Municipality of Loano also in order to ensure the safety and security, as required by the prefectural circular has prepared an emergency and evacuation plan, prepared spaces reserved for emergency vehicles, areas and points of health care and first aid carried out in collaboration with the Loano section of the Italian Red Cross, the presence of trained stewards with tasks of reception and regulation of flows and identified critical points to allow the Police Forces the preparation of appropriate surveillance and security measures. Finally, barriers will be placed where deemed necessary to preserve the areas affected by the event. New jersey barriers have been hired to protect the waterfront and also the’ASCOM took action to provide additional security service to the musical attractions organized in the city with the presence of stewards and volunteers from the Carabinieri Association.{:}
