{:en}PRESS RELEASE (31/05/20017)
News in the City of Loano's sweeping plan.. Changes in the way street cleaning is carried out, entrusted by tender to the Stirano Ltd. company, with changes to the hours and days, and the inclusion of areas previously unaffected by the service.
“The manner in which the mechanized sweeping service entrusted to Stirano Ltd. will be carried out is different from what was previously in place," explain the Municipal Police Councillors, Enrica Rocca and Environmental Policy, Manuela Zunino - and then variations on the days and hours of service are expected resulting in changes to parking bans necessary to better enable street cleaning activities.
Initial adjustments will begin to be implemented in the coming days. There will be cases in which hours and days of service will remain unchanged and others that will undergo changes. The whole operation has been imprinted, coordinating the work of the Municipal Police with that of Stirano personnel, to minimize variations and to avoid as much inconvenience to users as possible.
The most significant change concerns the’elimination of the day on Thursday by the new plan: mechanized sweeping in the areas currently covered on that day will be shifted to days from the Monday to Wednesday. We urge users already affected by the bans on Thursday days to pay special attention to the changes and thus the new signage that will be placed.
Another change will involve the inclusion of previously unaffected areas in the new mechanical sweeping plan, such as Via Azzurri d'Italia, Via Stella, Via Damiano Chiesa, Via Matteotti, Piazza Assereto, Via Cesarea, Via Calatafimi, Via Matteotti And others.
Users will be able to consult in the coming days the contents of the dedicated Ordinance, currently being issued, which they will find posted on the institutional website of the City of Loano http://www.comuneloano.it/
Apologizing for the inconvenience, we urge users to pay attention to the prohibition signs indicating the day and time when street cleaning will take place, so as not to incur the penalties provided for by the Highway Code and to facilitate the cleaning operations that will be carried out by the Stirano Company's vehicles.
The individually stated prohibitions will apply to the following. on weekdays only and except for the period from August 10 to 20, in which they will not be in force for reasons of greater tourist influx, in order to cause less inconvenience to users.”{:}
