It is renewed at Loano the appointment with the festival “Young Concert Artists” organized by the’S.M. Immaculate Music Association under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
L’S.M. Immaculate Music Association, under the artistic direction of the Master Davide Nari, selected some of the best young talents drawing from the national and international scene.
The review, now in its fourth year. sixth edition, will offer three concerts, which will take place at 9:15 p.m., in the Doria Palace.
To open the musical review, Saturday, June 3, will be the Korean duo Seung-Dong Lee (sax) and Yesol Lee
(piano). The internationally renowned chamber ensemble is considered one of Korea's leading ensembles.
The first part of the concert will be devoted to Korean composers Youngjo Lee and Insik Lee. The former composer's pieces “Honza Nori” and “Saeya Nori,” the latter's piece “Jindo Arirang” will be performed. The evening will continue with the performance of the pieces, “Concerto” by Alessandro Marcello, “Adagio” by Tomaso Albinoni and “Chaconne” - Tomaso Antonio Vitali.
Seung-Dong Lee is a professor of saxophone at the prestigious Yonsei University in Seoul. He studied with Philippe Portejoie and Daniel Gremelle in the conservatories of Évry and Rueil-Malmaison (Paris region-France). He is currently director of the famous ’Nova Saxophone Ensemble.“ The duo regularly performs at major festivals and concert festivals around the world.
The review “Young Concert Artists” will continue the June 10 with a concert by the Savona chamber trio Kelitrei formed by Elena Bacchiarello (clarinet), Martina Romano (cello) and Francis Guido (piano), and will close the June 17 with a performance by percussionist Loris Lombardo.{:}
