Thursday, May 18 “Loano not only sea”, the excursion program curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano, will propose a field trip to the Capanne di Marcarolo park natural area to the Gorzente Lakes (mt 916).
The meeting for participants is at 8:00 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot, possibly with your own car.
“We will drive to Pontedecimo and then head to S. Martino di Paravenico to reach the Praglia area at Prou Renè. - He explains. Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking companion of Loano - The walking itinerary will take place along a nature trail within the Capanne di Marcarolo Nature Park and will develop among woods and panoramic views, first skirting Lake Lungo and then Lake Bruno (reservoirs used to feed Genoa's aqueducts). We will walk along a characteristic footbridge and passing by two snowfields and a charcoal pile we will return, also following a section of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, to Prou Renè. The itinerary is quite simple and rewarding.”
The excursions are free. For participation in the trips of non-CAI members, accident and mountain rescue insurance is required, which must be requested by noon on the day before the activity is to be held by calling 019.67.23.66 or 349.78.54.220.{:}
