PRESS RELEASE (3/14/2017)

Thursday, March 16 will be renewed the appointment with “Loano not only sea”, the excursion program curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.. under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Municipality of Loano.

The destination of this week's walk will be the tina ponds, a picturesque corner of Beigua Park. The meeting for participants will be at 8:30 a.m. In the Valerga Square parking lot, possibly with your own car.

“The walking tour will start from the Agueta location in Arenzano. - He explains. Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking guide - A comfortable dirt road will take us to the Gua Pass. Then going up a path we will reach and pass two small overhead bridges. Past the Ruggi locality (Arenzano aqueduct),among pine forests and Mediterranean scrub we will reach our destination: the little Tina lakes. These are small and evocative pools of clear water (the potholes of the Giants), fed by several small waterfalls, the richest of which supplies the upper pond, which is also the largest and most spectacular. Here there will be a short break for a picnic lunch (paid for by participants). Having recovered our energies, we will resume our walk along the loop trail, which includes an initial slight climb and then the crossing of a wooded area, alternating with very scenic stretches. The hike will end at the Gua Pass.”.

The excursions are free and practicable by those with a fair amount of mountain walking training.

For non-CAI members to participate in trips, accident and mountain rescue insurance is required, which must be requested by noon on the day before the activity is to be held by calling 019.67.23.66 or 349.78.54.220.
