PRESS RELEASE (10/2/2017)

Saturday, February 11, a Loano, to the 4 p.m., at Council Chamber in Doria Palace conference will be held on the theme “A meeting with the telling body. Body image and eating disorders”, organized by the’UNITRE of Loano under the auspices of the Municipality of Loano.

The topic will be explored by the Dr. Stefania Lanaro, a psychologist and psychomotor therapist, who explains the theme she will address in the meeting as follows, “Meeting the body means getting to listen to what the body describes and tells us about itself, and working by meeting it means being free from what is our judgment by remaining ready to tell ourselves without words.

The discomfort of the body stiffens, blocks, conditions, excludes, makes one sick, and meeting the body in a place, in a space can be the beginning of a path that allows one to know the world through oneself and with oneself and with others.”

Stefania Lanaro, is a physical therapist, a psychology graduate (bachelor's degree and master's degree) but most importantly a psychomotor therapist.

He attended the three-year specialization course in Psychomotor Practice and then the two-year course on Individual Psychomotor Help at the Institute for Training and Applied Research (I.F.R.A.) in Bologna, a school that follows the principles of Bernard Aucouturier's Psychomotor Practice.

Started work at the Toirano Psycho-Pedagogical Medical Institute with children and youth with psycho-physical disabilities.

He currently works at ASL 2 Savona, in the Department of Mental Health and more specifically in the Santa Corona Center for Adolescent Eating Disorders.
